As it turns out, the current record holder is Robbie Maddison. Maddison managed to jump an incredible 328 feet and ten inches on New Year’s Eve 2008. This jump shattered the previous record held by Evel Knievel, who jumped just over 200 feet in 1971.

Interestingly enough, Maddison has initially was aiming for 350 feet but crashed on his final jump attempt. Nevertheless, this remarkable feat is still a Guinness World Record up to this day. Who knows what the next record holder might achieve? Maddison’s jump was an impressive accomplishment!

Who attempts for the Longest Motorcycle Jump?!

Joey Chestnut, known for eating more hot dogs than anyone else in the world, attempted to break the Guinness World Record for longest motorcycle jump. His attempt was unsuccessful as he crashed into the landing ramp.

The previous record-holder was Robbie Maddison, who jumped 322 feet. Maddison commented on Chestnut’s failed attempt, saying: “It’s not easy. I have a lot of respect for him.” Maddison still holds the record as the longest motorcycle jump to this day.

Chestnut’s attempt is just one example of how extreme some of these Guinness World Record challenges can be. Who knew trying to break a world record could be so dangerous? It makes you wonder how anyone would even attempt a jump like that. Who knows what other crazy and dangerous world records are out there?

Who’s the other titleholder of Longest Motorcycle jump?

Evel Knievel is the only other titleholder of the Longest Motorcycle jump. He made three successful jumps in his lifetime, with the last one being at King’s Island amusement park in Ohio on October 25, 1975. His longest jump was 141 feet and 11 inches.

What kind of bike was used for the jump? How did it perform? 

Robbie Maddison (Australia) achieved the longest motorcycle jump on a KTM 500 SX-F at the X Games in Los Angeles, USA, on January 28, 2008. He jumped 322 ft (98 m).

Maddison used a specially adapted KTM 500 SX-F fitted with longer forks and a longer rear shock to make it more stable in the air. He also used a taller gear ratio to allow him more speed on take-off and landing than he could have achieved with the standard bike’s settings.

The jump took place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, which was filled with 21,000 people for what would prove to be an epic event. Maddison completed two practice jumps. Before attempting the world record jump, the first measured 295 ft (90 m).

The bike performed flawlessly. Maddison landed perfectly on his feet to the cheers of the crowd. He later said he aimed for a jump of around 300 ft (91 m).

Maddison’s jump was recognized as the world record by Guinness World Records.
